Six Hour Place

Here the photographs are taken in the tidal waters just outside of the creeks between the high and low water marks in North Norfolk. These are strange places; sometimes dark and foreboding, then suddenly serene beyond imagination. It is these moments of other worldliness that I find out here.

HI have often described the experience of being on this coast as like standing at the centre of a vast vortex of time and place. There is little of permanence here but that may make the experience the stronger perhaps.

Six Hour Place refers to the average amount of time the ground is exposed before again being covered with each tide.
